DIRECT DRILLING CLIENT PROJECTS
Our Geoprobe 6620DT can probe and auger up to a 45 degree angles. Here we are collecting continuous soil samples on an angle using Geoprobe DT32 Sampling System. The goal was to obtain soil samples underneath a concrete surface that was close to a electrical utility. Soil samples were retrieved to a depth of 15fbgs.
Our Diedrich D-50 has the capability of bedrock coring. Here we drilled to 12fbgs using 4.25” (ID) HSA through overburden material and fractured shale. A 4.25” steel casing was cemented in place and allowed to set. This was to eliminate surface aquifer running into the second aquifer. Bedrock cores were obtained and the second aquifer was determined and a small diameter well was installed and grouted in place.
All of our drills and probes come equipped with Safety Auto Hammers. Here we are conducting a geotechnical investigation to determine soil density and the depth of bedrock. This site would have been a challenge for most conventional drill rigs due to the limited access to the drilling location.
Geoprobes are great for the delineation of contaminated sites because they are fast and create very little surface disturbance. Here we are delineating a site that had previously been drilled.
